Proud to endorse Adrian Brinton for City Council

The Sausalito Sustainable Waterfront Association is proud to endorse Adrian Brinton for Sausalito City Council!

Adrian has done more for Sausalito as a volunteer than most manage in office. He co-founded Positive People for Sausalito on a simple idea: we can protect what we love and move forward together.

Here are some of the things Adrian championed and delivered for as a citizen:

  • The new Ferry Landing, moved forward after years of delay

  • The Downtown Business Improvement District, real investment in our local economy

  • Repaved streets and expanded parking, fixes that had been stuck for years

  • The Sausalito Center for the Arts, a downtown anchor for artists and visitors

Adrian is endorsed by…

Along with the Sierra Club, Marin Democrats, and the Firefighters Union.

His roots here run deep: his mom lived in Sausalito in the '60s, his grandfather was the maître d' at the Alta Mira in its heyday, and in 2013 Adrian came home. Three years ago he left a 20-year career running IT teams and multimillion-dollar budgets to work for this town full-time, for free.

With hundreds of millions in overdue streets, sewers, and docks, Adrian’s plan is common sense:

  • fix what's broken before it gets pricier

  • cut the red tape that keeps storefronts empty

  • support the small businesses that employ our neighbors, fund our city, and make Sausalito feel like home

He also helped draft Measure X — the first real effort in 40 years to let the Marinship’s businesses maintain and grow the working waterfront, without raising a dime in residents taxes.

“He doesn’t do the politically safe thing of kicking cans down the road; he has demonstrated the initiative to tackle them head-on with specific proposals, not vague aspirations.”

-Ian Sobieski
